Section 1: Dining with us

WAU serves traditional South-east Asian dishes that are meant to highlight the local flavors and cultures of Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. The menu is inspired by some of our favorite dishes using a variety of local ingredients.

Guests are encouraged to order and dine "family style" in order to enjoy the diversity of all our Southeast Asian flavors. However, if you prefer, you may also order individually.

Monday to Thursday:
Lunch from 12:00pm - 3:30pm (last seating at 2:30pm)
Dinner from 5:00pm -10:00pm (last seating at 9:15pm)

Friday and Saturday:
12:00pm - 10:30pm (last seating at 10:00pm)

Sunday:
12:00pm - 9:30pm (last seating at 8:30pm)

Yes, we offer a list of crafted house cocktails, wine by the glass and by the bottle. Additionally, we have a full bar with a rare collection of whiskey (check our "top shelf" menu here)

We offer indoor table seating and several bar seats. We also have an outdoor patio that is fully enclosed and heated during the winter (max capacity of 25 guests).

Yes we do have some items that we can substitute based on the dietary requirements. Please inform your server with any allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering, we will try our best to accommodate.

Yes we do have a lunch special every Monday - Friday, from 12PM- 3PM.
(excluding federal and public holidays)

We do not permit outside Food and Beverages. Any outside Food & Beverage and Dessert will be charged to your bill accordingly.

We do have a selection of desserts on our menu but should you decide to bring your own to the restaurant, there will be a dessert fee of $5 per guest.

We offer a curated wine list for your enjoyment but if you'd like to bring your own bottle, our Corkage fee is $35 per 750ml bottle.

We love all our neighborhood pets! And in order for us to be mindful of other guests, we welcome small/medium dogs in our outdoor patio only: 1 dog per table and a maximum of 3 dogs in the entire patio.

Please inform us ahead of time if you are planning to bring your pet.

Yes, we are a family friendly restaurant! Please note that we do not offer a dedicated children’s menu but children are welcome to enjoy the same menu offering as other guests. Kindly count your infant/toddler in your party size to help us plan seating accordingly.

If you require a high chair, please inform us when making your reservations. Please note that we do not have space to store pushchairs and strollers. We do not have a diaper changing station.


Section 2: Reservations

We highly recommend making a reservation to dine at WAU so we can guarantee a table. We welcome walk-ins but availability is on a first-come basis (with the complete party). We also have several bar seats available for drinks and dine-in.

Reservations for up to 6 guests can be made on Resy here or OpenTable here, otherwise please call or email us to make a large party reservation (see "Large Parties & Events" section).

Due to space constraints, kindly count your infant/toddler in your party size. If you need a high chair, please let us know in advance or note it in your reservation.

Kindly note the following dine-in time frames allocated for each complete party:
2-6 guests = 1 hour and 30 mins
7+ guests = 2 hours (with a minimum spend of $40/guest)

To ensure all of our reservations are able to have a great experience, there will be a 15 minute grace period until your party is complete. We kindly request that your party is mindful of the allocated dine-in time stipulated above.

Given our restaurant's limited capacity, please check your reservation details to ensure all the booking information is accurate. While we will always try our best to accommodate, we may not be able to adjust your reservation at last minute notice.

Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance if there are any changes with the reservation.

Incomplete party/double bookings/no shows/late cancellation of a reservation will trigger a non-refundable cancellation fee of $10 per guest.


Section 3: Large Parties & Events

Fridays through Sundays (including federal and public holidays):
Lunch: $20/per guest
Dinner: $40/per guest

*Parties with 12 or more guests will be required to order from a Prix-Fixe menu. Please speak to us about it, we have flexibility to tailor it based on your dietary preferences.

We would love to host your private event! We offer a range of packages for private events and parties at WAU.

Please note that for parties greater than 12 guests, we require a prix-fixe menu.

There will be a minimum spend of $40/person for dinner and $20/person for lunch.

We strongly recommend that you reach out to us at least one week in advance before your desired reservation date, especially for Fridays and weekends.

Section 4: Takeout & Catering

Large party order (less than 20 guests):
We suggest that you order individual dishes from our regular menu here. We require at least two hours advance notice (more notice will be appreciated for weekends).

Catering (20 guests or more):
You can order from our catering menu. Please email us at waurestaurantnyc@gmail.com at least one week ahead.

Please note that we use Uber for Catering delivery services and a delivery fee will be added to your subtotal.
